She earned a master’s degree in Law with honors (magna cum laude) at the Università di Bologna, with a thesis on the regulation of “strict liability” in criminal law.
Anna Lisa’s professional career began at major law firms in Bologna and Milan. In 1988, it started in the corporate world, when she joined Gruppo Waste Management, a multinational company that was a front-runner in the environmental field, where she was Legal Affairs Manager for the Italian division.
While working at Gruppo Pirelli as Legal Head of corporate business for Gruppo Pirelli Real Estate (2000-2008), she held the position of secretary on an administration board with more than 100 companies, both Italian and foreign, to which she provided consultancy on such important operations as mergers and acquisition in the real estate field, as well as in a process that evolved toward a new business model based on two investment management companies and eighteen funds, distinct by area and performance.
She was subsequently named Legal Head of Gruppo Pirelli Ambiente (2008-2012), where she contributed to development of green business while overseeing the establishment of an IMCO active in the environmental field. It was the first one ever authorized by Banca d’Italia to operate over both private equity funds and real estate funds.
