He graduated in 1989 from the Università degli Studi di Milano with the marks 108/110. His master’s degree thesis on Tax Law discussed the taxation of investment trusts. His mentor was Prof. Gianfranco Gaffuri.

After graduation, he devoted himself to a career in forensics as well as the study of tax law. From 1989 to 2011, he worked with Prof. Paolo M. Tabellini, a lawyer, one of the foremost experts on tax law. In 2011, he established the law firm, Bidoggia e Associati.

In 2019 he was among the co-founders of Koiné.

Since 1994, he has been on the Register of Lawyers at the Court of Milan. Since 1999, he has been listed on the Register of Public Accountants. Since 2006, he has been licensed at the Court of Cassation as well as the higher jurisdiction. 

Up to 1997 he was a tax-law specialist at the Università degli Studi di Trento’s faculty of Economics and Business, as well as at the Università degli Studi di Pavia’s faculty of Economics. From 1997 to 2011, he was a professor on contract of tax law at the Università degli Studi di Pavia’s faculty of Economics.

He has held the positions of statutory auditor, public accountant, administrator, liquidator and as a member of the committee of inspection, according to Italian law D.L.vo 231/2001, at several companies, also under the surveillance of the Stock Exchange Commission.

He is a public accountant for the Association of the Lawyers of Milan. 

He is a member of the editorial staff for the “Bollettino Tributario d'Informazioni” (“Tax Information Bullettin”) and is the author of various publications on tax issues.
