He earned a master’s degree in Law with honors from the Università Cattolica di Milano in 1993, presenting a thesis on Civil Law tied to “pagamento traslativo,” or shifted payments, mentored by foremost expert Prof. Piero Schlesinger, at whose law firm he began working after graduation. There he dealt with topics connected to top cases argued at that time in Italy’s courts, regarding both mainstream civil law, such as individual rights, inheritance and family rearrangements, along with those related to the branching out of corporate and business law. The cases were addressed with a solid knowledge of civil law.
In 2010, he became a partner at the law firm of Giuseppe Lombardi, a scholar of Prof. Piero Schlesinger, where the key focus remained the high “craftsmanship” of litigation, applied both to natural persons and to major companies, whether inland or foreign: Accordingly, this has allowed him to more broadly widen his own horizons, envisioning a lawyer’s work as more entrepreneurial, with regards to litigation.
In 2019, Federico opted to move on from Lombardi’s law firm and to continue his job as a freelance lawyer specialized in litigation, while helping to establish Koiné along with other professionals.
He has defended Italian and international clients during numerous arbitration proceedings as well as those at the Court of Cassation.
His unique background allows him to address cases by combining a solid knowledge of civil law with a sharp practicality in dealing with problems, with a knack at generating strategies applied to pre-litigation and trials.
He speaks English fluently and has a good knowledge of French.
